We're the Worst!

"WEEEEEEEEEE THE BEST!" No DJ Khaled, we actually suck a great deal. Why are we so bad? We have talent up to our nuts!Monday night, the Mohawks played the dickhead team who beat them their last game in Canton with the dickhead player who was last seen claiming "nobody on you're team can stop me!" You're the man, brah. It's men's league hockey. Anyways, I hope Cheeks atleast dropped the gloves again. Sorry, this is more of a blog than a report.Sources revealed exclusively to the MohawksHockey webmaster that the officiating was abhorrent and lopsided led by the fat little troll of a ref who has not only sucked each week, but has, in fact, gotten worse!Anyways, as per usual, the Mohawks were victims of defeat. I believe the final tally was 8-2. Ouch! I guess that's what happens when Josh Rabinovich is handed the reins of the team. But seriously, does anybody remember the last time we won a game?Edit: This looks more like random thoughts/blog than a game recap- sue me. Also, if we win our last two games, 7-12-5 sounds a lot better than 5-14-5. Fat chance I know, but I'm just sayin'!

Do You Believe In Miracles?!

At left, the Mohawks celebrate Joe Dydzaks game tying goal with 3 seconds remaining in the game
Boston-
Despite a thin roster and trailing 5-0 after the first period, the Mohawks clawed their way back to a 7-7 tie against The Kennedy Club.

Post to be completed later

Mohawks Hitting Mid-Season Stride

Canton- The Mohawks are hitting mid-season stride as they've gone 2-0-1 in their last 3 games. Joe Dydzak and Dave Glynn have been en fuego as the Mohawks look to build upon their game Monday against MCE.

Mohawks Stuff Chowderheads, Win 5-1

Still feeling the sting of the 8-6 loss dealt by the Chowderheads, the Mohawks played on Monday night seeking one thing: revenge. Prior to the game, Matt Twomsley was overheard saying that on this night he was playing for keeps. His sentiments were echoed throughout the locker room by players such as Josh Rabinovitch who confidently expressed that he was determined to earn his feathers on that very night.
The Mohawks quite possibly played their best game of the season; undoubtedly their most complete. Anchored by the stellar goal tending of Matt, the Mohawks played solid team defense while also creating several opportunities offensively and in the neutral zone.
Paul Bishop set the tone early by nearly blowing out the knee of the Chowderhead's #8. The Mohawks captured the momentum and rode it out to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first. With the exception of a fluke goal, it was all Mohawks. They look to build on their winning ways Wednesday.

Mohawks Give Up 5 Unanswered, Lose 6-4

Mohawks Jumped out to an early lead but lost 6-4 after leading 4-1 after the first period. They look to rebound Monday, Jan 26th at Dedham.

Irony!

The same people who complain about too many players on the active roster each game are many of the people who were no-call/no-shows to the Mohawks 8-6 loss to the Chowderheads last night. Despite the opportunity to fill vacant roster spots, Tom Muradian declined in an effort to appease teammates unhappy with their ice time. This gesture ultimately backfired as it left the Mohawks undermanned. Sporting a lineup of just 7 players, the Mohawks put forth a valiant effort last night, led by Will Helmrath and Joe Dydzak, but in the end were just too thin to pull out the W.

Mohawks Lose to Local 103; Nobody Cares Because They Beat NLS!

Joe Dydzak (left) buried one early Monday night as the Mohawks rolled on; winners of 2 of their last 3
The opponent: Nate's Long Shot. The venue: Milton Academy. The scene: electric. The Mohawks played perhaps their best, and undoubtedly most complete, game of the season. From the opening buzzer to the final whistle, the Mohawks controlled the pace of the game.
Just 8 minutes into the first period, Joe Dydzak received a sweet pass from Trevor Clark and ripped a laser beam of a shot and proudly basked in the warm glow of the freshly lit lamp. Nate's Long Shots tied it up just 3 minutes later but the Mohawks answered on the very next shift. Justin Collins used his Ray Bourque-like accuracy to send a Paul Bishop pass sailing over the goalies left shoulder. It was his second goal in as many games as the youngster is emerging into a star. Sean Meany, blistering hot of late, popped in a pair of goals in the 6-2 win Monday at the Academy while Mike Harvey and Dave Glynn each added one to the effort.
Notably missing from tonight's game was Josh Rabinovitch. The team did not disclose any injury information so it can only be assumed that his vaginal injury is flaring up again.
Not to be shrugged at was the play of Ryan Patti. The goaltender made some acrobatic saves reminiscent of the great Bill Ranford. Patti was solid between the pipes despite his solid black jersey.
The Mohawks have 13 days of rest and look to build on today's victory. Their next opponent is the South Shore Sharks, December 28th at Canton Sportsplex.

Mohawks Win! Mohawks Win! Mohawks Win!

At left was the scene after the Mohawks won their 3rd regular season game
The Mohawks continued to show that they are a force to be reckoned with after a convincing victory over the second-place MCE.  The final tally was 7-3.  A short-handed goal while your Mohawks had two men in the box and MCE had a 5-on-3 advantage by Sean Meany showed just how explosive the 'Hawks can be.  Devon Gray also scored twice to extend his goal scoring streak to 5.  The solid play of goaltender Ryan Patti, which included a shutout second and a questionable goal in the third, which seemed by most to go off the crossbar, gave the Mohawks room to relax.

The Mohawks look to return to their winning ways this Friday night at the Canton Sportsplex where they take on the Local 103.  The former champions are missing a few key players but will have the services of  Bill Coughlin who has 7 goals and 5 assists so far this season.  The game is at 9:10 and will be broadcast in an exclusice ppv event.

Breaking News: Mohawks Can't Buy a Win; Look to Long Break to Gain Some Fortitude

Will Helmrath's (in white) face says it all as the Mohawks continue to struggle.

The Mohawks will continue their quest for their third win for atleast the next two weeks. After a disappointing loss to Harvard Gardens, or the Avalanche, or the Repeated Felon Referee Lawyers, or whoever the hell they are, the Mohawks have a long break to collect their thoughts and hopefully regroup to produce a legitimate contending team.
Despite jumping out to an early 1-0 lead, the Mohawks were outplayed the entire game by the... umm... other team(?). Devon Gray continues to be white hot, scoring on a ballistic missile of a shot from the top of the faceoff circle. That was pretty much the only high point of the game for the Mohawks.. actually, wait... no, yeah that was it.
The Mohawks don't have another game until December 2nd which gives them plenty of time to rest, heal up (although the only injury is Josh Rabinovitch's feminine odor problem), and regroup to hopefully become a competitive team. As dismile as they have played, they are right there in the playoff hunt.

Roster Moves

For tonights game (11/17) the Mohawks have made one minor roster move. Josh Rabinovitch is nursing a vaginal injury so the Mohawks called up Keith Muradian from D-1 affiliate Dartmouth.
Jake Hedstrom is also out tonight.

Mohawks Blow 6 Seperate Leads, Tie Boston Fire

The Mohawks were in dire need of a W last Wednesday and Boston Fire appeared ripe for the taking. Early on, it was the Mohawks using their hoses to put out the fire as they jumped out to an early lead despite aggressive play by Boston Fire. The Mohawks were up 2 late in the 3rd period when the Fire rallied and extinguished the Mohawks victory.
The Boston Fire committed a bonehead penalty in the final minutes of the game putting the Mohawks on a power play in which they pulled goalie Ryan Patti to make it a 6 on 4 matchup but couldn't capitalize, ending the game in a tie.
Tonight the Mohawks will look for the W that seems to elude them every week.

Mohawks Look Flat, Lose to Pumps

Devon Gray's 2 goals weren't enough to lead the Mohawks to a much needed victory.

Despite debuting their new threads, the Mohawks couldn't seem to get anything going against division opponent Pumps. The Mohawks fell behind 1-0 early but tied it up on a Devon Gray breakaway the very next shift. In the second period the Mohawks seemed to gain a little momentum after the Pumps' went ahead 2-1 to which Gray answered again just seconds later. In the 3rd, the Pumps' scored again on a great blue line slapper from their freakishly large Zdeno Chara of a defenseman. Unfortunately, there was no answer to this goal and the Mohawks were defeated 3-2. They look to bounce back tonight against Boston Fire at 7pm in Milton.

Mohawks Getting Too Good, League Execs Force Them to Face "A" Team

Tuesday night, the Mohawks faced a team that was quite literally out of their league. Due to their recent dominance, NESHL executives strategically placed an "A" level team to face the "B" level powerhouse in an effort to diminish the Mohawks' confidence and stifle their recent success.
Although the score of the game was 7-2, it was not indicative of the play of the game. The underdog Mohawks played Dixon Cider competitively but poor play in the defensive zone and not capitalizing on opportunities ultimately sealed the Mohawks fate.
The Mohawks fell behind early in the game and could not generate enough shots to test the A level goaltender. According to the lone Mohawks fan, Connie Figueroa, the Mohawks looked "slow" in the defensive zone and were "too bunched up" in the offensive zone.
The Mohawks took too long to apply pressure, scoring their 2 goals in the third period. If they play B teams as well as they played the A team, league executives plan may backfire.

Mohawks Force Last Resort to Lose Sight, Lose Mind

Ryan Patti(left) led the Mohawks to their second straight win.

Sunday night, the Mohawks continued their recent trend of dominant hockey. Led by Ryan Hudson(2 goals) and the stellar play of goalie Ryan Patti, the Mohawks dismantled the Last Resort vis a vis suffication, no breathing, didn't give a fuck if they cut their arm bleeding.

It was all Mohawks early as they jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead at the end of the first period, 6-1 at the end of the second. The Last Resort, remaining true to their name, out of options, resorted to cheap shots and juvenile bickering.

Justin Collins, who played his first game without recording a penalty after receiving multiple in each of the last 5 games, scored the 6th goal of the game putting the game out of reach for the Last Resort. Keith Roux was the MVP of the game; his play was reminiscent of Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine.

Mohawks Played Fuckin' Nasty, Win First Game

Sean Meany(left) scores a shorthanded goal to seal the Mohawks first win.

Mohawks Shit the Bed, Lose 8-1
